Best gears for roll racing?

I can run mine to 68 in first and 120 in 2nd. but thats spinning it pretty high.

Why do you want to stay away from spray? As for your interest in changing gears to improve roll racing I would say you are a lot better off increasing horsepower. Gears will help the most 0-60. For roll racing you need power. Tune, boltons, cam, spray, those things will help most. Gears and stall will help, but only some from a roll.

Spray is awesome if you set it up right the first time..

How about a turbo?

i can only do 60+ rolls well until i get new drag radials. but i have 4.10s and a 305/45ZR18 dr, which is 28.5" new and now its more like 28" tall, i shift out of 2nd around 70ish

3.42s on a roll in 2nd rocks till about 90mph! I have surprised a 600cc sport bike that wasn't in the right gear. He did the typical ricer fly-by though afterwards.

I have stock 3:42s and 275 tires. Shifts into 2nd at 45mph and I into 3rd at 85. 3rd goes to 130. Shift points are at 5500.

Cruising at 45 in 3rd when I hammer down it drops perfectly into 2nd

Roll racing, 3.42s puts you at a sweet spot in first from a 30 kick. 4.10s you have to kick it from 20.
