Turbo vehicles benefit from gearing differently than n/a or supercharged motors to my understanding. That in mind I would think taller tire = better, but I have nothing to prove it with.

With the super short 1st gear in the 6 speed I wouldnt think you need to go as short. I think the 1st gear in the 6 speed with 3.42's is the same as having 4.10's with the 4 speed. Also, turbo's love a longer first gear to help them load up... too short might not help you. Just a thought.
