He fixed it for basically nothing, but now I would like to look into something to hopefully make it last longer this time. It was 2 years, but not a lot of miles. Granted most of the miles were loaded or towing.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Is Lonnie the builder?

If so, he knows how to build a good 4L60E, and He frictions would have been used.

Yes it is, I guess you got that from my reference to him being a Buick guy.

He's going to fix me up this week on the current problems, I just wish had the money to build a nicer tranny.

As for the cable being out of adjustment I don't even see an adjustment, and every other setting seems right. Also It actually clicks when it rolls like it's trying to engage park, but with no success. I can even push it by hand as it goes click click click.
I would look at the bracket for the internal parking pawl from what you are describing. Something was left loose. It happens to the best of us! Lonnie is well respected and I'm sure he will get to the bottom of this. Have faith!

Park works now, I guess the pawl was just stuck...I put in park a few more times on the hill and the clicking got louder till it caught, now it works every try.

Lonnie says he knows exactly what's wrong with the OD, we're gonna pop the tranny out at his shop fix it up and be done for this time around.
