Default Big Thanks to PEM Driveshafts!!!

I had a deal with a local drive shaft place...made a 3.5in aluminum shaft 1350 joint for the LS1 Ram and a shaft/1350 joints for my buddies LS1 T56 Camaro..Prices were very fair and quality top notch

Just for comparison I weighed the stock 1996 transam steel unit I used for the initial LS1 Ram build 23.2 lbs with a 1350 yoke 32 spline...weighed the aluminum 1350 joint/yoke at 18.4 lbs balanced to Zero from the shop

The aluminum drive shaft was 1.25inches longer then the steel unit to get a more ideal length for my setup

Another before/after of the steel aluminum unit, IMO the aluminum looks alot nicer ans is up to the task of a beating I gave it after the install

Its nice to have a true 1350 u-joint with this shaft vs a 1330 1350 conversion I had on the steel unit, sure the steel unit was strong and got me by during my build, but the aluminum just adds to the cool factor with the engine, transmission, t-case, driveshaft all being aluminum... pretty cool for a old dodge ram

truck does feel slightly smoother on the interstate at 70+ mph speeds...everything is just starting to work together with the setup...
