Default biggest tires that fit.

i have a 04 silverado 2wd that im gonna put the hotchkis 2/4 drop with sway bars on. i plan to get the 20x8.5 with 5.4" backspacing or the 22x9 centerline stingrays with 5.5" backspacing. whats the widest tire that will fit?

I ran some 275/45/20's in the front and 285/50/20's in the back on my 3/4 with hotchkis rear leafs. I had 285's on the front but they rubbed to high hell only on the drivers side.

I would run a 275/45/20 if I were you all around. Mine were 20x8.5 with 5.5" of backspacing as well.

so that means a 305/40/22 will rub. whats the biggest in the back i can go with both rims? and the biggest in front with both rims?

I have Toyo 305/50/20.With the fenders rolled they barley touch.
One size smaller would of been perfect.4/6 drop

You have 305/50/20's on a 4/6? I find that hard to believe.

Yup i even tow a few boats with it.Front is 265/50/20 and they do rub going over bumps or dips.LEB iam in Long Beach

not tryin to jack it but will a 275 60 16 on a 16x10 wheel fit a 2-4 drop?

That i swhat my setup is and I have no rubbing issues. My rims are 16X8 tho.

No problems at all with that setup. Max tire size with a 2/4 is a 285/50 20 or about 31" overall diameter.

ran a 305/55/16 BFG sporttruck tire a few years ago on stock rims on a 3/4 drop had no issues with rubbing or anything and was able to pull a 1.98 or 1.97 60' on them with a stock stall converter
