Default Bilstein vs. what?

Looking for a set of new shocks. This is a stock suspension 2wd silverado. I'd like to firm up the ride, it's a bit sloppy. Anybody have a brand they like? What about the cheap-o $20ea Gabriels? I don't want to spend top dollar unless I have to.
Thanks.

Kevin

I have a set of edelbrocks on mine and it firmed it up a good bit if you really want to make your truck handle a whole lot better put a rear swaybar on it if you don't allready have one it helped mine a lot.

I have this same interest.

I have heard the the Edelbrock IAS shocks are pretty good, but would like to hear from some experiences.
