How does ha plan to take it off? You have to cut the frame to put it on. Taking it off would severely weaken the frame and it would bend under weight. Unless he plans on have the removed section welded in I would not reccomend removal. It will cost alot more to have the frame repaired after removal than just buying a new notch kit for your truck. I would leave it on!

Oh ok then. The difference in your frame and his is you have a longer section between the cab and wheelwell. The part above the axle where the notch would go should not be any different. Just be sure to support both sides of the frame properly before making the cut in the frame to keep the back section from sagging, I did mine on a lift at work and supported the back with stands.

Belltech makes two different notches for the NBS trucks. They are frame specific, so you might want to contact Belltech to make sure it will work with your truck. You can also measure the "height" of the frame rail where the notch will go, if the measurements are the same for both trucks you should be good to go.
