just one more way for the dealership to stick it to our pockets. i guess they figured out that everyone was going outside of the dealership to get delco pads for cheaper.

Who do you think makes the pads for GM? AC Delco does. Although, they are listed as a GM only part in the Proquest/Snap on electronic parts catalog, they are actually manufactred by the company that makes them for AC Delco. GM...AC Delco...it's all the same.

Actualy no. ACDelco does make a pad for the 05 up trucks and it is very different than the gm pads. i have both in front of me right now.

My 04 has 75k and the pads still look new. The Hawks suck. Ive seen them dust like crazy and will squeal most of the time.

I have use the Autozone cermaic pads with good luck on other cars. Cant beat the lifetime warrenty either and it like $40 for the fronts.

As for dusting, ceramic pads give off the least.

I would say the Delco pads you have are a Durastop type from Delco.

Delco dosen't offer a Delco "only" pad for the newer trucks with rear drums. They box them for GM only. But as far as AC Delco, they are still very much a part of GM. Trust me on this one...I work for GM. Delphi is no longer a GM.

Trust me....you'll like em'
I just put these on a couple weeks ago, great pads. Noticed a big difference over stock and I havent had any brake dust problems on my wheels yet.
