Default Brake Rotor and Caliper Not aligned

I was putting my new rotors on today and it seems that the rotor and the caliper bracket dont want to line up.

What I mean is I can push the rotor flush against the hub and thats fine, but when I put the caliper bracket on, I have to angle the rotor for the bracket to sit flush on the knuckle so the side of the rotor closest to the bracket moves in a little bit making the side opposite the caliper move out.

What this means is when I mount my wheel up and torque all the lug nuts down the rotor is sitting at an angle to the caliper (but flush against the hub) so my brake pads are rubbing the rotor when my brakes arent applied! Nothing is obviously bent or damaged, so I dont even know where to start. The other side is perfectly fine.

The new rotor is fine. The old one (stock) did the same thing.

Help?

The angle is exagerated but you can see the problem. When the rotor is flush against the hub, it is at an angle to the caliper, which is mounted flush against the knuckle. The only conclusion I can come to is either the hub or knuckle are bent...

Yeah something would have to be bent I think.

Yea, it must, but how is that possible? The hub is inside the wheel so it couldnt have been damaged externally, and the bearing appears to be fine. The steering knuckle is like 3/4" solid iron so how that would get bent is beyond me...

Any ideas for a fix?

What about the caliper bracket?

Are these OEM brake parts or a big brake upgrade? My SSBC kit came with shims if you had a problem like you are stating.

Wouldn't a worn wheel bearing throw things out? Any noises or play in the hub assy?

I had this problem even with stock parts, although I am posting this because I did just add the powerslot 14" rotors. I dont have any shims, and dont see how that would help anyway because I need I need to turn the caliper not just move it out.

The bearing appears to be fine, no play or noises. The only noise is the rotor contacting the pad as the wheel turns which is odd because it appears to be in constant contact while im not driving, ie, its hard as hell to turn by hand because the brakes are semi engaged.

I would look towards the wheel bearing also. That would be my guess if you had this problem before now. There is not much else it could be?

I am pretty sure its not the wheel bearing. There are no noises that would associate a failure, and there is no slack or play in the wheel.

After driving around for a bit the problem seems to have lessened, but I am guessing that is just because that pad has been worn so its in line with the rotor. In any event, I am going to take it apart tomorrow and look to see if there was something I missed. There is not much there to fail which is part of why this is a frustrating problem.
