so today i took a closer look at the pump, this time the rotor broke in three places and it looks like the converter may have only been halfway engaging into the pump. so here is the question. i am using the 5.3 flexplate on an lq4 i know u need some kind of spacer for using an 80 but should i be using a different flexplate. my converter is at tci right now. im going to call them in the morning and ask them to check the distance from the converter laying on the mounting tabs to the top of the hub and i am going to compare it to a stock converter and see if there is a difference, any other ideas?
