Default Build 4L60E or 4L80E?

Just wanting some input on whether or not it's worth the money to build my 4L60E w/a stall or do a 4L80E?

Figured a 4L80E would be the best route and as far as future plans right now I'm just thinking a stall and near future a supercharger. Not sure if I wanna get to crazy with it.

4L80....I wish I would have done the 80 first. Would have saved a lot of money.

If I had the time, 4L80E right off the bat, pretty easy to swap, gotta cut and extend your cross member, put two pins in the harness I think and swap over the rear yoke off a 2500 so you can use your stock drive shaft??? I thought there was a sticky on here some where.

Didn't the 80's have a different internal gear ratio too? longer first gear?

What you think it'll cost to build it to handle let's say 600hp?

x3 burnt $3,200 on a built 65e and T/C

I am going to buy a built one from a guy in sherman pretty soon. The damn T/C is what gets you on the 80e, ther are about $800-$1k then theres the shaft upgrade... my 80e, T/C, speed balanced steel shaft and swap is going to rune me about $3,000 alone. But its worth it.

I should have done an 80e from the get go.
