Burnt trans fluid but tranny shifts fine?
My buddy at work has a 99 GMC Seirra he has a Rock On trans in it i forget what level and it keeps burning fluid?
It shifts and drives perfectly fine but the fluid keeps getting worn and dirty/brown looking about every 5k or so. He had a full flush done then he dropped the pan a couple times and refilled but same thing.
I don't think it has even been 5k this time and now his fluid is dirty and burnt looking.
What would cause that? It drives like normal but keeps burning up fluid....

The fluid being bad so often/fast is really confusing to me since the trans acts as if nothing is wrong other than that.
