Is a C-Notch recommended with a 2/4 drop?
I just ordered my 2/4 (it's a Belltech, springs front, hangers/shackles in back) and I was wondering if a C-notch is recommended? I have 2 friends with a 2/4 drops and if i remember correctly both would hit the frame in the back... I only have a few days to install the drop and new sway bars(addco front and back), after that it will probably be months before I get to do anything to the truck again due to work and fiance moving in ... So i want to do it all at once... Let me know your experiences with your 2/4 drop...
Thanks...
Thanks...

I had a 3/5 and it surely needed a notch(sitting on the lowered bumpstops), raised it an inch in the rear and it really could have used one still, but was not nearly as bad. Put any amount of weight back there and your riding the bumpstops. If I lowered mine again, it would definetly have a small notch.

You have chosen wisely. The NBS suspension does not leave alot of room between the axle and the frame with the 4" rear drop. You could probably do without but you would hate yourself every time you hit the frame on a big dip or bump. I don't know if welding the notch is really that much better. Hopefully someone else will chime in but I think the heat does something to the metal in the newer frames but that could be total BS.
