yep I was going to do this, but was already halfway into my second frame. I'm going to save it for a later project.

I have personally seen a C6 ZO6 make 700+ at the tires all day long on the stock diff.

I know a guy with 900+ rwhp. But will it hold up making a lot of HP with another corvette on top of it?
You have to consider the weight of the truck not just the HP.

I'm not saying either way, i'm just pointing that out.

You might want to look into the 2009 Cadillac CTS V rear differential. You might be able to integrate that with the corvette suspension, may have to do some welding for mounting tabs and such. The new differential is supposed to be head and shoulders above the last CTS V, as well as better at holding horsepower versus weight than any other independent rear that GM currently has. It has to stand up to a 4300 pound car!

how long do you think it would last with slicks and an extra 1000 lbs?

Why do you need a independent rear suspension? Are you looking for better handling or "Just looking to do something different"?

You would need a custom torque tube setup which is going to be a lot of money.

I would think that it would give you better weight distrubution, better handeling and a overall better ride.
