Default cam swap, would it be worth it on my truck?

Ive got a 90 gmc sierra. I am hoping that by march i will start my carb swap on my truck. I was thinking about also swapping out the cam, since i would have the intake and valve covers off at the same time. The only thing is that my truck has 154,000 miles on the stock 350. Would it be worth the trouble to swap the cam w hen i do the carb swap. I dont want to go witha radical cam or anything, just something with a little more lift and duration. The cam that i was really looking into is the lunati voodoo cam with the jegs part number: 638-60101lk. It is 256 advanced duration and ..454" lift. It is good for the power range of 1000-5500. I figured this cam wasnt too big and was also ideal for the rpm range that i drive . Id appreciate any comments from anyone on this. I would love to swap the cam out for the extra power and sound, but i dont want to do it if its a waste of time on my motor with as many miles as its got.
