Camburg chevy/gmc 1500 2wd 99-06 performance 6.5 kit
I知 looking into getting a prerunner setup for my truck. Truck is a 2003 2wd rcsb and I知 looking at the camburg mid travel.

just wondering if anyone has used one and how it worked out. Also what should be do to the rear suspension.
I want to try to run a coilover and wondering if the 07+ coilover will fit in the 2003 location with some sorta kit? Any help would be great.

It all really depends on what you want to do with the truck. As far as using 07+ struts in the 03 I do not think they will fit, and I would definitely recommend having coilovers spec'd for the application.
Camburg makes good stuff, but if you're really gonna use and abuse it I would get the Dirt King kit.

Having the fabricated lower gives you a lot of room to grow as well. You can start with a single coilover and add a bypass down the road if you start to outgrow the single coilover.
For the rear your best option would be a bed cage with through bed shocks and deavers.

I think the plan is to start small and get my feet wet. A buddy of mine is selling his mid travel kit from camburg.
So go with the mid travel and try to put a coilover in the mid travel kit and then get a deaver kit with shackles and hangers and use factory shock location.
I think that would be a good start and then I can do some more extreme mods down the road when I know more about the prerunner stuff.
