Default Can anybody help me with my traction problems

First my mods,1999 ECSB,2wd,4.10 gears,built tranny,circle-D 3200 stall,28x11.50x16 ET streets,full weight 4,450,LQ9 6.0,baby cam 208/212,554/558,114,cold air,longtube headers,electric fans,150 shot.

Just installed the converter and now traction problems N/A. Whats the best suspension mods to do to hook on street ? I plan on taking off on motor for a bit then spray, not out of the hole shot.Caltracs worth it since i already have slicks ? Hole shot is where its at please HELP

You will not hook on the street. Caltracs will help with traction loss from wheelhop caused by the leafsprings, but you still won't have traction with street tires. Drag radials will give you the best street-legal dry traction, but hang on if the roads are even a little damp.

Before the stall,i would dead hook then about 15mph or as soon as i was rolling hit the spray and hooked,on concrete road not pavement, also with m/t drag radials.I now have e/t streets.Do m/t drag radials hook better than e/t streets on the street ??

Have you used drag radials on the street and in the rain? I daily drive mine with drag radials and it is great in the rain. Many Camaro guys I have talked to with them like them to, most can launch pretty well in the rain with them.

Yes, I have first hand experience with drag radials. On a Camaro as well, my '99 Z28. If you truly believe they are great in the rain, then I know you have never used them on a daily driver. Or maybe the rain is just different in Alaska. Leaving stops without spinning on damp roads was a bitch, and finding wet road on 45-55 mph turns was a harrowing experience. Or maybe I just drive more aggressively than you & your friends.

How much rain do you get in the DFW area? Maybe that's the difference? If you get rain once a month, it won't seem as big of a deal as getting rain almost every day.
