Default Can I fit 305/70/16's?

Just a quick question. I have a 2000 gmc rcsb z-71. Right no I have 285/75/16 and they fit fine. But I need new new tires and wanted to go up a size. I've topped out my torsion bars already.
I'm looking at the Nitto Terra Grappler AT 305/70/16's
Can it be done?
Thanks

With the factory rims, it will be close, I had 305/70-16 on 16x8's added torsion bar keys, trimed the fenders, and they still rubbed. But they were Super Swamper SSR's and they measured 34", and had the side lugs. Ive seen a lot of trucks running 305/70's on their factory rims, and most say they dont have any rubbing problems, but I cant say for sure. I doubt you would have any problems though.

Go with ford t-bar keys and cut the bottom of the valence a bit and you should be fine. It is going to be close when turning and hitting a bump or driveway.

I looked up the specs.
Nitto Terra Grappler AT
285/75/16 diameter 32.68" width 11.33"
305/70/16 diameter 32.68" width 12.40"

They are dang close. I just wonder if that extra inch of width will get me.

That last tire will rub the bottom of the valence when turning but you can trim it easily and have no problems then. It has been my experience though that t-bar suspended vehicles usually have different ride height. A buddy of my has a Z71 exactly like mine and he can fit 305/70's(think that was the size damn 33" and 12"wide) but when we tried to mount them on my truck it rubbed like an SOB. I dont know why it did since they are the same truck must eb soemthin in the tension on the t-bar.
