Default Can I Save It? 4L60E

I have a 2000 rcsb silverado, and a few weeks ago I was doing nitrous burnout looked down at the seedo and the needle dropped from 70 to 20. Now when I am in manual 2nd gear and just start to roll the throttle on it just slips, but if I do a full throttle 1-2 shift 2nd gear holds just fine all the way through. Is this something that can be fixed without tearing into the transmission or replacing it? I have had a shift kit lying around for a while would that possibly help? Any help would be appriciated.

You need a new trans. Next time don't do a Nitrous burnout. What were you thinking?

I was thinking and I quote " man this is gonna be cool!" I just put the data logger on and it is showing that the torque converter clutch is slipping baddly in just 2nd gear. I dont get it.

FYI, when I burned up the 2nd and 3rd clutches in my 4l80, HPTuners showed that the TCC was slipping. I had Chris at Circle D cut my converter open and it was perfect.

Lately I have been just driving my truck gently back and forth to work ( 1.5 miles ) due to the fact that I exploded something in the four speed in my Camaro last weekend and now manual second is like a huge stall converter for first I don't get it. Does this mean that second is totally gone? would it be a good idea to tune second out of the trans until I can afford a new one?

The more you drive it like it is, the more expensive it will be to repair. Your band is surely destroyed by now. Who knows what other damage you're causing by driving it.
