My 05 2WD VHO has the torsion bars up front. The way I understand it, I might be wrong, is with the Z60 High-Performance Suspension Package they level the stance like the SSS

If you use spindles for the front drop, you retain all of your oe suspension travel,
ride quality and steering geometry, only way to go unless you want to put the frame on the ground which you don't. just add a shackle kit to the rear as well.
belltech make 2" spindle kit and a 2 inch hanger kit that will give you the handling you want, maintain the same front-rear stance the truck has now and not change your
steering or ride quality.
Mcgaugh's make similiar stuff as well.

I had Hotchkis' 2/3 TVS system(coils, leafs, sway bars w/links and Hotchkis spec. Bilsteins shocks), Metco LTLs, RUSlow pan-hard bar all rolling on 285/50/20 tires on my old truck. It handled quite well, actually, I was very surprised and impressed at how well it did handle. There was a very noticeable difference from stock.
Higher spring rates = better handling = harsher ride
