Default Can someone give me some info on this 14 bolt

I was told this 14 bolt came out of a 2002 silverado 2500 4x4 I know it has 4.10 gears but not much else. Is this rear a 9.5" or 10.5" or what? It doesnt look like a g80. Is it just an open carrier? I never seen the insides of a late model 14 bolt that what is throwing me off.

That looks like a 10.5 14 bolt by the way the axles bolt in at the end. The 9.5 has c clip axles. Also some 10.5s cam stock with a Detroit locker so you might have got lucky.

Its not easy finding good solid info on the internet. I have been searching for an hour or two and there is alot of conflicting info. I believe you are right i think its a AAM 10.5" . Now i hope its not too hard to convert to 6 lug because id hate to convert my fronts to 8 lug

Thats a Full Floater axle. You can't really convert that to run 6 lug wheels

I think others have been able to swap control arms and spindles for the 8 lug front swap.

It is most likely a 10.5 Full floater if it was a gas engine. If it came from a HD with a diesel it could be an 11.5.

There is a few companies that makes a 6 lug conversion but its around $500-$1200.

Cutthroat4x4, Mitchelldiff, Solid Axle Industry to name a few...

Do you really need that big of an axle or were you looking for a 9.5??? Maybe you could re-sale and keep looking
