Can you tow with a 9.5 inch converter?

Default Can you tow with a 9.5 inch converter?

I have 550 hp pro-built tranny kit and Ive been thinkin of getting a 3000 to a 3500 stall but i tow somtimes and i was wondering if i could still tow with a 9.5 inch converter?

towing a 3000# car on a 18' car hauler...prolly 8500# total...lock the converter up early. whats wrong with that?

I think you'd burn up a lot of clutch material doing that, but who knows.

We have our multi disk design that would work. We have a few guys who tow with there 245mm. Definitely get a huge cooler if not 2 of them. Not for heavy loads and keep an eye on trans temps. But doable. If you tow a lot I would go to a 258mm option.

i pulled light stuff and maybe some 4 wheelers in the back. but thats about it... anything over 6000 lbs u have to really watch your temps
