As a transmission builder who has seen multiple carbon shafts let go...they tear **** up too

People like to believe they just turn into cotton candy and don't hurt anything

couldn't be further from the truth

I've seen carbon driveshafts destroy tailhousing, case, and bellhousing on both a th400 and a powerglide with Aftermarket SFI cases

So...just get a proper 3.5" chromoly shaft and you'll be totally set. It'll be the best on the wallet, it'll last the longest for something that sees street time, it'll handle the power and the rpm.

install a 2 piece steel, and never look back
