Default CDS 278mm - Now for the 4L80 and 6L80

We have another option for you guys.... We have converted our famous 278mm HP Series to fit the 4L80 and 6L80 transmissions. It will have the same stall options, 2600-2800 and 3000-3200. And the same great durability with our upgraded bearings, TIG welding and HD clutch. The 4L80 will have the LS bolt pattern, perfect for conversion guys because it will fit the OE dished flexplate. I will have them available soon on our website, but you can call or shoot me an email if you are interested.

A great solution for those guys swapping to an 80E and not wanting to drop $700-$1000 on a converter

I am pretty sure they took there 278mm and modified the rear cover to fit either a 4L80 or a 6L80

Yes, the 6L80 and 6L90 take the same converter, so we have you covered there.

Yes, you are correct.

It is something we change inside the converter when we build it. We start with the same 278mm core, but change the impeller hub, stator splines and turbine hub to get it to fit the 4L80 or 6L80 transmission. It takes quite a bit of work....
