Default Changing Front Inner CV Axle Seals Question About Refill

2005 Silverado ECSB Z71 130k+ miles slinging oil at the front right inner seal. My question on refilling with oil is if its similar to the rear diff in not wanting to top off at the hole. Its recommended to be 1/2" or so below the rear diff fill hole or suffer a pinion seal leak. How about the front?
She's in the air I may as well change the other side.

Fill until the level is just about even with the bottom of the axle bearings. Any less, not enough. Any more, the seals will leak.

Found my copy of the 2005 service manual. "For the 8.25 inch axle, the oil level should be between 12-16 mm (0.50-0.625 in) below the fill plug
opening. Page 13020
