I've ran the tru track, an auburn, and a lock right in the past. Had friends run the EATON. IMO if you're going to do a gear swap, I'd go with the tru track, or the eaton. I personally like the tru track better.
I'm planning to put a lock right in my truck as soon as I get a definate as to wether or not the one for the 8.5 will work in the 8.6 rear. But I'm not swapping gears right now either.
For the difference in price, it's worth it to go with the tru track since you have to pull and reset the chunk any way. IMO

Cheap and differential are not 2 things you usually want to use in the same sentence. Personally Id just buy a Tru Trac and never worry about it again. Thats simply because I know people who have used them with great results. When my factory G80 gives up Ill be going 4.10s and Tru Trac. Thats just my opinion though.
