Circle D Triple Disk Installed now have RPM flutter
I installed a Circle D triple disk 2600 stall on my 6.2 with a 6L80. It seems to flutter at low RPM's. Example: If the RPM's are at 1500 and I'm coasting, they will flutter between 1300 and 1800. This did not happen before the install. I also noticed when I hit the gas the RPM's will drop suddenly by about 500-1000, but then it kicks down and takes off. It doesn't feel like the transmission is slipping. I'm trying to get an idea if this is normal or if I need to get it tuned or leave it alone....

I agree, sounds tune related. Dave and I have been emailing, but to recap for the others. The 6L80 calls for some slip in the lock up clutch when cruising at low speeds. The computer will manipulate the converter apply pressure to try to achieve the slip but the multi disk does not oblige. So you get a ramp up and down on pressure by the computer and the converter locks and unlocks. Setting all the TCC slip tables to zero eliminates this.

Ok. Thanks for the information. There is a local guy here with a dyno that says he can do it. I'm going to schedule a complete tune and see where my HP numbers are at.
