Did a off idle WOT in 4x4 today and it flashed to 2777

well on my TCI i had with my 4l60 i had about 6k hard miles. i just swapped to a 4l80 yesterday and i went with a Circle D 3200. hoping to get good miles out of it. right now it has zero miles on it.

I think the killer of the converters is locking them at wot..

Just an FYI - we have been here since 1976. But the 278mm mentioned is not quite that old.

Good to know chris, looking to beef up the ol tb stall which i heard the 278mm is a reworked one anyways, but i see lots of people running them, and can get my hands on one from a friend who recommends you highly.

We see converters come back from the mid 1990's with 150k plus on them and just need a normal rebuild.
but that is if the transmission did not fail and damage the converteri nternals.

i have a circle d 2800 in my WT buddy...its got 18k miles on it and not a lick of trouble! yes i do drive it everyday, and yes i pull a trailor with it, yes i abuse it in the mud when i feel like throwing some rooster tails around work, and yes im not scared to race it.
