Default clicky front end

i have a 2000 silverado with a loud clicking sound in the front when turning over light bumps it is 2wd and i have already put a new rack and pinion in, the ball joints and tie rod ends seem tight and are well lubed. I also removed the front shocks and sway bar links and drove it and it still does it. Has anyone had this problem and knows the fix?
