Default Clunk, clank, pop...

I've got a 2004 1/2-ton ECSB 5.3 with the factory 20's that I bought a while ago from a guy who towed a car trailer with it regularly (had a Subaru race car). Has just over 57k miles. Problem is every time I make a turn, I get a funky clunk out back. Had it in a driveline shop and driveshaft/u-joints are tight, G-80 is wearing pretty good (metal on the magnet), yoke lubed up, new rear brakes. You guys think its the G80 making the clunk? What else could it be? Front suspension is weird too. Get a pop once in a while when backing out and turning the wheel. Tie rods feel tight, and swapped in the Borgeson ISS (still have a major rumble in the wheel at low speeds). Suspension almost feels loose when hitting sharp bumps in the road, but everything feels tight when checked while on the rack.

WTF, I'm ready to sell this damn thing if I don't get all these noises fixed!

IF its fourwheel drive it could be the cv shaft when turning and also the ball joints

have you ball joints checked makes a pop when you turn and makes your front feel loose when you hit a pothole or bump

I'm guessing G-80 if the clunk is in the rear and only when turning.

It's your G-80. Probably locking while normal driving, then not unlocking. Mine did this when one of my techs "did me a favor" by filling my diff with 75w-140 synthetic instead of 75w-90 synthetic. Correct fluid fixed mine. Pull your inspection cover and see if anything broke.

When we had the cover off, he said the spiders were showing a lot of wear on the edges of the teeth and to start saving for a new diff. Same clunk happens when coming to a stop sometimes also. It got filled with the correct fluid.
