Clunk sound on park to reverse? help

Default Clunk sound on park to reverse? help

I hear Clunk underneath front between park and reverse.
took look at u joint they rust up. how do i check if that is the problem

maybe because i have build tranny and maybe that can be it little too hard. but it only does it on fresh start in the morning.

I would go ahead and replace the U joints, usually the clunking is a sign of a bad U joint

there are 4 u joints in the truck, do i have to replace the all 4 or just ones in front.?

i would say its coming from your t-case and its actually perfectly normal... Or says GM anyway

I would check and grease the ones that are fine and replace all the others. If you can change them yourself and they have a lot of miles on them then I would replace all 4 of them.

i only have 50,000 miles on the car.

i'm gonna grease it first and see what happens.
i was thinking first u joint out from tranny front.

will update it.

well, i got underneath the truck today to change seal.
two things that i notice.
i didnt loose that much oil.
but i lost oil before i'm gonna flush the transfer case oil and change it.

Actually My clunkin sound went away. i guess it was seal problem.
