Default compressor ideas?

I'm trying to decide what to do for a compressor on my air suspension setup. It's 2 bags (2600lb each) in the rear with future plans to install 2 bags on the front (strut-bag in place of the current coilover spring I have).

I don't need anything super "fancy" as I plan to simply "set it and leave it". The pump will just be there to increase pressure in the bags if I add load (want to carry stuff in the bed).

I was thinking I might find an old compressor out of a Cadillac (or equiv) with air suspension. Would that generate good pressure (I'd like to see 90-100psi)? If not, what's a good budget compressor?

the ford air-ride compressors are another good choice. they max out at over 200psi. just don't expect them to last if you run it too much.

thanks for the info.

I don't plan to run it much at all. I'm installing air so I can:
1- have a soft ride
2- carry more stuff

so as I said, I will pretty much "set it and leave it" unless I'm loading up something...

what year/model fords have the air-ride compressors?

Personally I like Viair. I would go with a 325 which is what I first started out with for $150. I ran it for 5 years with no problems way past the 150psi mark. Now Ive upgraded to triple 460's. They make a great product and have excellent customer service (Lance).

ok, so after look all over I would end up paying $100+ for a used OEM compressor (ford/GM/range rover/etc) so that doesn't look like a good way to go.

I'm now looking at either a Viair 350, 380, or 480. I kind of like the idea of having 200psi but I'm not totally set on that.

As I have stated before, I don't plan to air up/down the system on a regular basis. My idea is to set the pressure in the bags to a soft ride and then only increase pressure if I need to carry more load. I'm looking at using either a 0.5 or 1gal tank. Any input?

The other thing I REALLY REALLY REALLY want is the compressor to be quiet.

Which vehicle are you mounting it on? With that tank size i would stick with the 300 series. I liked my 325 when I first got it, simply because it pumps real fast but lacks the duty cycle. Thats why I've upgraded.
