I think the Breeze was running M&H cheater slicks in ~30" size on his Radix truck; might be something to look into.

you mentioned your converter flashes to 4600? maybe go with a tighter converter to get load back down to a lower rpm range, that would help.....

Once again....

I want to get what I can out of this combo.

When the new motor goes in ill be going to a 3000 or so converter. The SS series is supposed to be a tighter nitrius converter but this thing still flashes hard. I knew when I built this setup that this converter wouldn't be "optimal" but it was in there and I wasn't ready to drop another 1000 on the converter I want at the time. So I left it, it runs and drives really nice with it but its just hard to load it up like it is. Another reason for looking into a taller tire.

I'm really looking for opinions/comparisons from people who have gone from 28s to taller tires....

I of course dont have the experience but your reasoning seams correct. you want to hook, at high rpms and stay hooked. If you go through 1st and 2nd, under higher load you will make more boost=more power=higher trap.

I would think if your making use of the first half of the track the second will come naturally.

spoolin had problems because there wasnt enough load top make boost in the first half, but his third gear was the sweet spot.

again im just someone who spends too much time on this site and these are my observations. I say go for the 30"
