considering putting my truck back to a static suspension, need some advice...
well as I have been trying to sell the green truck with not exactly huge amounts of success I have been considering putting the green truck back to a static suspension. In doing so I know it would have to be somewhere in the neighborhood of a 4/6 possibly 4/7 drop. The only drawback here is that with the installation of the 6 link out back the shackle mounts were removed as were the leaf spring perches on the axle itself. I know I can locate some perches with some effort but the shackle mounts I was wondering if someone had any laying around. I was also just posting this to get some general opinions about the whole situation. For me I have gotten completely out of the show scene and hardly ever drive the truck. I have no need for it to be bagged anymore and think I might put it to more use static and might even have better luck selling it because it might appeal to a slightly broader audience.
What is the likely hood of getting these bagged parts swapped (with some cash included from the buyer) for static parts such as leaf springs, upper and lower control arms, shackles, shackle mounts, hangers and so on? I have, IMO, some of the best parts out there for bagged trucks including KP components watts link, 4 link with cantilever, ART upper and lower arms, mcgaughys spindles, slam bags, GC valves, and engine driver compressor and the list goes on.
Any and all opinions are appreciated and if someone have anymore advice for me I would love to hear it.
