Default Converter?

Hi, I have a 1996 k1500 with the 5.7 vortec, and was wondering, do I have to run an lt1 style torque converter, as that was what someone told me, but I am just wanting to be sure before I buy one.

Thanks

your trans should be a 4l60e if im not mistaken just make sure it has got the flanges for the gen 1 350 and you should be good to go. just make sure you get the right stall speed for your app

Yes, it's a 4l60E. So, I just ask yank if the converter has the right flanges for that series of engines, and if it does, I'm good to go?
