converter BANG into lockup!

well problem was a little worse than i thought itd be lol...got a call this morning saying the truck is pushed back until tomarrow due to the converter not showing up on time. i guess the dampner springs were good...trans builder told me that TCT said i sheared/ripped off/apart the torque converter clutch...any ideas on how/why the hell that would happen? its a custom 10" piece rated for 600+ horse, and i am no where near that ballpark
