Default Converter Bolt Pattern?

I've been converter shopping today. I know most folks on here deal with Yank or PI. I'm thinking of going with TCI or BTE though. Anyone with either of these please give your opinions.

I want to make sure I buy a converter that will bolt right up. Do we have a 10.75 or 11" pattern?

Is the bellhousing a single piece?

I've got a 4.8 with 4L60E.

Well, you're in luck. This is being sorted out in great detail right now in this other thread:

Yeah, thanks James, I'll follow that thread closely.

For the most part it seems to be talking about Precision Converters though. I'm more interested in TCI or BTE at this point. I'd like some insight from the guys that have bolted these up in their trucks as to the quality and fit. I don't wanna have to drill my flexplate.

Riley, I think I told you how much I've been enjoying my TCI 3000. It's been a great converter so far.

We have a 11"(LS1) converter bolt pattern. The Yanks(4L60E) I've had and the TCI(4L60E) converter I bought for my car a while back both had 11" bolt patterns.

The PI so far is the only one I've heard of that uses the smaller pattern and it seems maybe only on it's 4L80E setups.

Love my tci 3000 works great i tow and go offroad with it even though I probably shouldnt. I had to drill one hole out a little bigger for one of the tc bolts though.

Thanks for the input guys.

Yeah I knew you were happy with your TCI Jeremy, but what concerned me was when someone said they had to drill to make theirs work. I know the TCI doesn't cost as much as some of the others, but I'll be more than pissed if it doesn't fit right.
