Default converter install question

any idea who does a good job on installing a converter here in houston? how much does it cost to do? is there anything else i need to get besides the converter? like install kit or oil? anything else?

i have been thinking about getting the yank tt3000 but unsure of where to go and what to get. also i have 110,500 miles on my truck. will this converter be tough on my transmission because i don't need to install this part and have my tranny crap out. i don't go around racing everywhere i just drive 10 miles to work and 10 miles back and then the truck just sits there. thanks for the help.....

i am about to do a converter and tranny rebuild myself. you will need to tune for the verter, and get a bigger tranny cooler, because it will run hotter, especially down here in tx.

no such thing as an install kit. if u take it somewhere they'll charge 250 to 285.. somewhere along those lines to install it and that should include the fluid. 13 or 14 quarts. and u should probly change the seals while the transmission is out. the dont cost much and it will save u money if they go out and u have to pay 275 to have the transmission taken out all over again

so do you think having 110,000 miles on the truck is too much?

also would i really need a new tranny cooler? the stock one isn't big enough?

also do i need a shift kit for a converter? i had one in a truck a long time ago and that damn thing nearly broke my neck everytime i shifted.

i told a couple buddies of mine and now the are pushing me to get one so i'll have to do some research and find a good place that will install it.
