Default Converter swap without shift kit

Guys fixing to do converter swap. I've did the vette servo and gonna do the Tru cool 40k along with converter. Can I get away with the swap and not doing a shift kit for now? The truck barely has 25000 miles on it and shifts awesome now. Will have the tcm reprogrammed too but y'all knee that.

What converter are you putting in? It'll soften up your shifts a lot.

I have a converter without a shift kit, stock pressure 1-2 and bumped a lil on the 2-3 and 3-4. 0'd shift times and no tm. Shifts great!

Thats a no-no, too much heat, will accelerate wear on the trans from the heat.
