Default convertor install prices

Did some searching and couldn't find very much maybe I'm just putting in the wrong keywords. How much are you guys paying to have your convertors installed. I had a local shop quote me $467 and I said no thanks and walked out. I've heard of others getting theirs installed for around $250. Does Synergy do convertor installs?

I got quotes from $450 to $500 when I was looking at getting mine put in. I did the same thing by walking out and thinking they were crazy. I was going to do it myself, but then sold it instead.

basically for the converter install you are looking at all the labor to remove and replace the transmission. I'd be surprised to find it for less than $350. If you were in my area I'd do it for you in my garage at the house for $250, less than that it's not worth my time.

Are you ever going to replace the transmission? If the answer is yes, wait until you are ready to do the swap and have them put the converter on then. It cost me nearly the same for the converter swap as it will to swap the whole tranny because you do have to remove and reinstall the tranny.

From experience, if you ever do a motor swap, do yourself a favor and do your converter swap then! I'm kicking myself in the *** for not doing it then!

i think that price is pretty fair considering your living in the expensive bay area.

Damn chit is high out west. $200 all day long out here in hillbillyville OK.

Silver-Dollar - how's Dorchester County and Summerville these days? Lived out there from '88-'92. Rode out hurricane Hugo in '89. That was fun.
