By the way Superior and Sonnax are not compatable. My supplier sold me the 1/2 kit from Superior and 4th from Sonnax. They don't work together. I returned the Superior and went straight Sonnax. It cost a lot more than $20 I can tell you that much. I don't think there is a second groove you can get the snap ring into. The cover only goes in so far before it bottoms out and you've only encountered one groove at that point. I did mine with the trans in the vehicle so it is hard to get your head between the trans and frame rail to see what's going on compared to working on a bench, but I'd be willing to be if you got that ring into the wrong groove you've already assembled something improperly beforehand while doing the servo rebuild.

I ordered the Transgo Vette Servo, it should be here by the end of the week. I paid $17.95 s/h included. I found it on Ebay from Oregon Performance Transmissions. I will let yall know how it turns out. Thank you for all your input. Lady.

billet why spend the extra money. Correct me if i'm wrong but how many times have you broken a servo after installing it right. Corvette is just fine in my opinion. What's the difference other than strength?
