Default Could low pressure cause an open TCC solenoid circuit?

Hey All,

I recently underwent a 4L80e swap. I also installed a shift kit with my buddy Kurt (twolow02Fransen). It was the first one either of us had done, and there was a lot going on that night. Long story short we were working on it much later than we should have been, and we forgot to put in the Relief assembly on the HD2 kit. We drilled the appropriate hole, but didnt put the relief assembly in place causing some slip in the trans, and very low line pressure.

My question is regaurding a service code I got telling my my TCC solenoid had an open circuit, P2761. I pulled the pan to see what was going on which is how I found out we didnt put the relief assembly on. I also realized that were are 2 things plugged into the front of the trans valvebody. One being the solenoid itself, but the other I'm not totally sure about. I was told its the EPC/Force motor solenoid. Could that be causing my open circuit with low pressure due to the missing relief assembly?

You can see both the relief assembly (plate bolted to the bottom left) and the electronic piece in question just to the left of it (also at left of the valve body just above the relief assembly) in the picture attached.

Thanks for the help guys!!! I dropped my pan past night, and I really want to have this behind me by the end of the night tonight!!!

The tcc solenoid is one of the plugs. If its unplugged it will throw an open code.

Did you swap the wiring in the connector??? If not you can get that same code using the relay method.

4L80E swap - Codes P0740 and P2761 - LS1TECH

I just redid that tonight with what seems like no luck. I'll clear the code and try again tomorrow am. See if its commanding lock up or not.

id change out that wiring harness while its down if you havent already. i had a weird issue where my truck wouldnt lock into od because the TCC electrical pin kept getting soaked in atf... i replaced the TCC solenoid and wiring harness and its been good so far.

It works!! Must not have commanded lock up last night due to a stored code or something... getting there slowly. Now to track down why the trans slips after the HD2 install.
