The 4 link kits will replace your leaf springs, and then you will either have to run bags, or coilovers. There is much more to it than just bolting it up like caltracs. FYI, rc, ec, and cc trucks are running caltracs with great results.

I know that! But the four link is basically the same concept as the caltracs function the same way that is!

Your're right, does the same thing....prevent axle wrap.
Think I paid 1200.00 for my rear 4 bar -airbag set up.

unless its a track truck and you have a big budget 4 link is a great option. what it comes down to though is money

4link=$1000+

yah and all the headaches of relays, sending units, bags, and air fittings to go along with it!

Comming from a Guy that has owned a vehicle on air...its to much BS.

ID run Coilovers and 4 link...its dependable

I don't understand the point of this thread... It seems you have already convinced yourself of what you want. And a few VERY knowledgable guys have offered their advice, which I tend to agree with FWIW... But hey, if you want to say your truck is 4 linked then by all means, you go right ahead, I'm not saying it won't work, but the same thing can be accomplished for much less time/money/headache....

I would not buy an airride 4 link kit, they are not designed for traction or strength. It will, however, allow you to drag your gas tank on the ground.
