custom driveshafts???
Alright here is the deal im running a t56 with 4.56s in the rear and a 29" tire. I cant get rid of driveshaft vibrations and the truck has thrown more than a couple. Before anyone says it both yokes have been replaced and vibration still comes back but never at the same exact speeds. Its different with the drive shafts, right now its rockin one out of a 82 lasbre from the junk yard. It threw it and i just wanted somethin it could drive around on so this one was the right length. Now as legendary as a 82 lasbre is I dont think the drive shaft can handle light speed. I just need to know if anyone here has gotten a custom driveshaft made and were they went to get it done, if they were runnin a rcsb what length did you get? I am leaning towards just getting a Strange 3" crome-moly driveshaft. Clearence is an issue and i am not sure how big i can go before it starts getting into the cab support, I have 7" of drop in the reat. I would like to have one that i can run upto 140+ mph and not worry about it at all. I am gonna call TDP on monday and talk to Jason about it all but if anyone can help until then I would appriciate it.
Thanks
Jon

You don't need a moly shaft. If you are having vibration problems those need to get fixed. Measure the length you need and punch it in the critical speed calculators online to find what diameter and material will work for your target speed.

to run anything over like 130 im gonna need carbon fiber, anything under 130 i can get by with 4" mild steel it according to the chart. Guess its gonna ge mild steel and set a speed limiter at 130 I just cant get myself to pay that much for carbon fiber.
