Thumbs up custom traction bars, a success

i fabbed up my own c-trac's over the weekend. they took a lil while to make but i like to take my time to do a good job and not take any shortcuts.

i can say that on the street they really don't do anything w/ my street tires (maybe i have some adjusting to do). they did pick up the *** end slightly and the ride is a lil more stiff in the rear but i can handle that b/c i'm still running those bouncy like stock shocks, so the ride is better IMO.

last night i went over to the track to do a little t&t. i had the bars probably 3/4 to 1" away from touching the leafspring. i just left it like that so i could get a lil weight transfer to the rear. the weather was hot as hell and had an extra 200 to 250lbs on the truck b/c i didn't strip it down, so the truck wasn't doing so good. they hooked up perfectly on the track w/ no hesitation. my best 60' of the night was 1.80. i just can't get over how much these motors like cool weather so much. it's like a night and day diffence and about 4 to 5/10's.

in conclusion i think the time and money spent to make them, was well worth it. just thought i'd share this story with yall.

later,
lance

My experience is better traction with warmer weather.
