I don't understand why your bars are raising the rear of the truck up. If the bars aren't touching the spring they should be neutral, just hanging there.

With the my bars adjusted all the way in I might get the top bolt an 3/4" away but John Calvert said to start at an 1/8" free play and adjust from there, Slightly tighter or looser half turn or so.

I didn't notice any difference in ride except for a rattle when the top bolt hits the spring.

John also said without slicks they won't help much. You need the axle to twist upwards for the bars to work, with absolutely no traction the axle won't twist.

How about some pics.

i'll get the pics up during the weekend. i know when you poke the gas pedal at slow speeds in 1st, you can feel them working and the back end feels like it sits up and rises.

josh, i just went look at them they are sitting around 1/4" to 1/2" above the spring.

probably the force of the axle on the spring at an angle will cause it to rise???

if it was a flat spring it'd prolly be stiff or squat

did you by chance use the aluminum front bushings like calvert does?

no, i left the stock bushings in. i had to grind down each side of the front leaf spring eye to fit the steel plates between the hanger and leaf sping.

Yup! That's what I did, just grinded the outer sleeve for the bushing and the rubber. I have the Al bushings on my car and they're too harsh.
