I'm looking to drop the front of my truck an extra inch it currently has djm lowering control arms. Would cutting the coils be fine or springs would be better? My only fear with the belltechs is that they will drop more than advertised? Any help is appreciated thanks

I needed about 1.5" inches for mine to be even up front so I just cut the springs with a grinder. Still rides great, only cut about a fourth of a coil.
Either way is fine but cutting would be cheaper, just don't cut too much

ive always cut coils up to 1.5 turns and never had an issue. my 99 sierra had 3" bt's when I bought it and they road really siff, not sure if they were bought for an extra cab or 3/4 ton, but I yarded the out in place of 2.5" spindles an junk yard springs that I cut one coil on and ended up with a 4" drop no complaints.
ive seen some brands of after market coils that were to short for the spring pocket, so when u jack the truck up they walk in the spring pocket, I would imagine they walk when u top out the suspension.
