1.69's on current motor setup with traction issues.
6" flipkit, c-notch, 2" bellteck drop shackes (set at 1" drop), Airshocks, 28x10 Hoosiers on 16" stock alum. wheels.
Best I've done is 1.65 with the 5.3 on the juice and lots of traction issues.
I just bought the Caltracs and 10" wheels. Looking and hoping to drop my 60's to mid/low 1.6's N/A.

man you guys are making me jealous with these good 60fts. I may try some stock shocks. Theoretically they should help with the weight transfer since they'd be softer than the DT's.

Thanks for the replies so far!

Get a set of slicks and you will be amazed at what you can do with a stock suspension.
1.6x all day on stock suspension and 28x10x15 slicks.

A taller tire will help alot. I'm sure I overdue my burnouts, but I smoke the et streets down pretty damn good and the truck hooks when I do it that way.
I'm using the 28 inch tire though. That 26 inch tire and trying to launch with a 6 speed is probably your biggest problem. Get a bigger tire

I've got some 29.5x11.5x15 ET drags that im going to be trying this year. I anticipate them helping out alot. I've heard alot of the f-body guys saying that they couldn't hook worth crap with et streets and a manual, but they work great with the autos.
