Don't take this advice and come back complaining because the gears whine down the road. I think someone on here just had this problem and ended up having the mechanic go back in and check the gears because he thought the gears were set up wrong; turns out it was just the inherent nature of the gears.
OEM AAM gears cost a whooping $50 more than Motive gears ($150 vs $200) and only $10 more than Yukon gears and are superior. Ron will take care of you, he has for many members here

well, ya know, the saying you get what you pay for.
Ive read that the AAM's are heat treated to 1500 degrees from the factory....so they'd be pretty much broken in from the factory and release less contaminants into the gear oil on break in (mine was pristine @ 500 miles)
Although, I do recall dirt track racer saying he was going sideways coming out of the gear shop

Also, here's a nice read on the Eaton LSD vs. the Eaton Detroit Trutrac (Eaton also makes the G80 BTW)

Eaton originally made the G80 or Gov-Lock locking rear differential.
Eaton also makes:
Detroit Locker
TruTrack
Carbon Fiber clutch style LSD 200lb/400lb/800 preload plates are available-400lb preload comes stock
Eaton bought out Tractech a while ago. Tractech originally made the Detroit Locker and detroit Truetrack.

I went Tru trac based on the fact there is no clutches towear out. It works seamlessm and locks with minimal torque applied.
I have yukons and they whine like a stuck pig.... but i also have headers and corsa's...so i cant hear them lol
