I had that same exact issue, the side gear on the driver side ground the case down and the only indication I had of an issue is when the pinion bearing started whining, I was s.o.l though I was out of warranty, so I've lost confidence on a product that was highly rated, fortunately I found a 14 bolt out of a nnbs and put that in.........

if the true trac does it again I'm done ill probably put a locker in it or a eaton posi with the clutch packs

On this note, I'd like to install mine myself as well. It's been about a decade since I've I setup gears, but I'm confident I can pull it off with the various write ups floating around.

Does anyone know if there is a kit I can order that would come with all the shims, ring gear bolts, bearings etc? If so could someone point me in the right direction please?

Put about 6-700 miles in it so far so good even though it took me almost most 200 miles before I didn't any burn out or hard pull lol

lol i installed 4:88 gears and locker on a friday then went to the track saturday no whines no nothing!!
